1. Operator and contact VT Planner is currently operated under the VT Planner brand. Contact for privacy requests and questions: info@vtplanner.com. 2. Information we collect We may collect the following categories of information: Account information: email address, name or display name, authentication identifiers, role, workspace membership, subscription or trial status. Workspace and project content: project names, building and elevator configuration data, simulation inputs, calculation inputs, reports, notes, exports, and related technical records that you choose to enter. Usage and technical information: pages viewed, features used, timestamps, IP address, browser, device, operating system, referrer, session events, diagnostics, crash logs, and security logs. Support and communications: messages you send to us, support requests, feedback, issue reports, and related metadata. Billing information: billing contact details, plan information, invoices, payment status, and related records. Payment card details are processed by a payment provider and are not stored directly by VT Planner. Cookies and local storage: authentication state, session preferences, workspace preferences, app configuration, and similar browser-based storage needed to operate the service. VT Planner is not intended for sensitive personal information, health information, government identifiers, payment card numbers, children's data, or other highly regulated data unless a separate written agreement expressly permits it. 3. How we use information We use information to: create and manage accounts, sessions, workspaces, trials, and plans; provide calculations, simulations, project storage, reports, exports, and related app functionality; authenticate users and secure the service; troubleshoot bugs, monitor performance, prevent abuse, and improve reliability; respond to support, privacy, legal, or account requests; send transactional service messages, including account, security, trial, and operational notices; understand aggregate product usage and prioritize improvements; comply with legal obligations and enforce Terms of Service. We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer workspace content to advertise third-party products. 4. Legal bases where applicable Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: Contract: to provide the service, accounts, workspaces, trials, reports, and support. Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, debug, improve, and protect VT Planner and its users. Consent: where required for optional cookies, marketing communications, or similar optional processing. Legal obligations: to comply with accounting, tax, security, legal process, or regulatory requirements. 5. How we share information We may share information with: Service providers that host, authenticate, store, transmit, monitor, analyze, support, or secure the service. Payment providers, including Paddle where applicable. Form providers, including Formspree for demo, waitlist, or contact submissions. Professional advisers, such as legal, accounting, tax, security, or compliance advisers. Authorities, courts, regulators, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, users, security, or the service. Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. Service providers are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to VT Planner and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. 6. Authentication and infrastructure providers The current SaaS architecture uses Supabase-related authentication and database infrastructure. Depending on deployment, VT Planner may also use hosting, logging, email, monitoring, storage, analytics, and payment providers. 7. Cookies and local storage VT Planner may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for: authentication and session management; security and fraud prevention; remembering app settings and preferences; measuring service performance and usage; debugging and maintaining product reliability. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are added, VT Planner will use a consent mechanism where required by applicable law. 8. Data retention We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts and workspaces, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, preserve security, and maintain backups. Trial and inactive workspace data may be deleted, archived, anonymized, or made read-only according to the applicable plan, product rules, or retention policy. Backup copies may persist for a limited period after deletion from active systems. We may retain aggregated or anonymized information that no longer identifies a person. 9. Security We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and workspace content. These may include access controls, authentication, transport encryption, provider security controls, logging, monitoring, backups, and operational review. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting account credentials and using appropriate access controls within their organization. 10. International transfers VT Planner and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, VT Planner uses appropriate transfer mechanisms, contractual protections, or provider commitments for international transfers. 11. Your choices and rights Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to: request access to personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of information; object to or restrict certain processing; request portability of information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; complain to a data protection authority. Some requests may be limited by legal obligations, security requirements, backup retention, fraud prevention, accounting needs, dispute resolution, or the need to maintain service integrity. 12. Children's privacy VT Planner is intended for professional and business use. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Business and workspace administrators If your account is part of an organization, workspace owners or administrators may be able to access, manage, export, restrict, or delete workspace content and account information associated with that workspace. Your organization may have its own policies governing use of VT Planner. 14. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://vtplanner.com/privacy with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to notify active users or provide notice through the service. 15.
